You have two options on where to begin your school, either at a community college or 4 year university. To become a Midwife you need to be an Advance practice RN (A RN with a Masters in Nursing). There really is no point in becoming a LPN unless you need to work while going to school, because it only takes 1yr to become an LPN, and two years for a RN at a community college.
You will need English, Psychology, Sociology, basic computer classes, history, and a couple electives to start, if you have them before they are still good. However your life sciences Anatomy and Physiology will expire after 5 to 10 yrs depending on the program.
It is best to contact a few schools in your area and find out the requirements for acceptance and attend a few nursing information sessions. Make sure to get copies of your transcripts so that they may be evaluated. Get started on that A&P as soon as possible.
GOOD LUCK
