What is the difference between an LPN and RN?
lalalala life is wonderful asked:
Other than making more money what is the difference? I know that an LPN cannot start an IV but what are other differences? I live in GA and when I tell everyone that I’m going to school to be an LPN they’re always like “oh why not go for RN”

My scholarship wont pay for a degree (RN) program right now. But I’m satisfied just going for LPN anyways.

Why don’t you ask one of your teachers, they would know best. Basically RN’s get paid more and have more responsibility. LPN’s work with an RN’s supervision. They both work very hard and are what make hospitals and healthcare in general function.
